First Sign Of Old Age: The 10 Year High School Reunion

I got my first notice for our 10 year High School reunion today.   It will be 10 years in May since I gradauted… unbelievable!  Time really did fly.  I didn’t really even read the message.  Something about starting to plan, send this to everyone you still speak to from High school… blah, blah.  Then I got to thinking who I still talk to from high school and I am a little surprised.

I liked high school, don’t get me wrong, I had a blast and made lifetime memories.  But after I graduated I took off for college and severed ties with most.  I’m not sure why I did this, but honestly there was only two people I stayed in touch with, and that’s only because they went to the same college.  One was my ex-high school sweetheart and the other was his best friend.  They were my security blanket.  Since graduating and moving back to Denver, i got back in touch with a ton of people .

It’s interesting to see what people have done with themselves, who’s gotten married, kids, who hooked up after high school, you know the scoop.  I think it would be fun to go, but then again, the only people I care to see, I still talk to, so in that case, what’s the point. I’d like to go, I guess just out of respect.  OMG, I feel old!
